There was no caption for this picture. I know that that is my Grandfather John Lauritzen, and I think the lady is my Aunt True, wife to my uncle Eugene. Don't know the date.
My grandfather had experienced -- as I recall -- a kick in the mouth by a horse which left him with a scar about which he was a bit self-conscious, so he grew that mustache. I never saw him without it.
