The three amigos. The young man on the left was a neighbor of my cousin Bill, Bill Miller, and Barry Lauritzen. Taken in the park just kitty corner southwest from my Aunt Rita's home. That church in the background was a Presbyterian church at that time. I think it has now come into different ownership.

481

Lynne and Barry Lauritzen, two neighbor boys, and Anne Marie Miller. About 1944. Don't know the location.

In his book, Dad wrote: "My brother, Eugene at Cheyenne, Wy. where he was in the U.S. Cavalry."
There is writing on the back of the photo which I believe was written by Eugene. It says: "This is the position of Carry Saber as when standing at attention dismounted with saber withdrawn."

476

"At the fair grounds in Almindingen Skov, June 1931." That makes this a picture from Dad's mission.

I don't think I was being punished. However, that small rocking chair exists in my basement still. Lots of children have used and enjoyed it. Thanks, Mom and Dad.
