432

"Barry, June 1943."

431

"Barry and Lynne, Grangeville, September 1943."

Lynne is only three months old here.

430

I'm repeating myself, but I think this is a common thing with all parents -- it certainly was with us. Lots of pictures of the first child. Then the numbers of pictures become fewer and fewer.

429

My mother and myself. I believe this is in Wallace, Idaho. About 1943.

428

One more family picnic shot.

427

I included this one because (besides cousin Brent and myself) it shows some of the out-buildings behind my grandparent's home.

426

"Rowena, Carlos, Barry, Brent and Bally, the horse. July 2, 1942."

425

Another shot in Weippe.

424

I have included several of these family picnic photos for two reasons: 1) they were in fact a frequent event, 2) it demonstrates how important family gatherings were to everyone involved in that day. No TV. No movie theater that worked in Victor. Family was very much the center.

423

Myself and my mother. Again, this is Weippe, Idaho, about 1941.

422

Myself and my father. I believe this is in Weippe, Idaho, about 1941.

421

"Florence, Barry, Boyd, Rowena and Brent." About 1942.

420

Boyd, Barry and Brent, Victor, about 1942.

419

Elva, Barry and Butch, the dog. June 1942.

418

Lynne, Dad, and Barry. About 1943.

417

Brent Lauritzen, oldest child of Carlos and Rowena Lauritzen, age 5 mo. wt. 16 lbs. About 1941.

416

Barry and Brent, about 1942.

415

No caption. This picture of my mother and myself is taken in the front yard of my Grandparents home in Victor. Once again, notice the very nice trees that line the fenceline between the street (a dirt road) and the yard.

414

"Deah Tonks -- Spring 1932."

413

"Florence, Muz, Stephen, David and Bill. August 1942. In Wallace."

412

"Portraits, more or less, of Barry at our Weippe mansion. Taken in the winter of 1941."

411

On the back of the photo, Adrienne wrote, "David & Stephen, Galveston, Texas, June 1942. Notice the oleanders blooming."

410

As it says, this is main street in Grangeville, Idaho. About 1943. It is a little less old-fashioned today.

409

Rita, Dad, Mom, Mike, Lynne, Robert, Ann and Bill. I took this picture. It is in the International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake City. About 1949.

408

No information other than that is myself. About 1942.

407

Barry and Brent, June 1942.

406

"The Anderson family, Pocatello, Idaho - 500 South 11th. Gus, Adrienne, David. 1939."

405

"At the Eric Larsen's in Weippe, Idaho. Late spring of 1942."
Arlene Martin, Barry and Phyllis Larson.

404

No caption with this one, but the people, L to R, are my father, myself, my mother, cousin Jeannie Lauritzen Van Detta, and her husband, Larry Van Detta. Don't know the place or the date.

403

Another Weippe shot.

402

I'm guessing, but I think this is still Weippe, Idaho. About 1942.

401

"At the Eric Larsen's in Weippe, Idaho. They were always full of fun and Clara was a swell cook. Taken in the late spring of 1942."
The girl is Phyllis Larsen with my mother and Clara Larsen.

400

The legend on the picture explains. My father was really impressed by this road. I drove it with him one time when I was a teen, and he was much more white-knuckled than I. Interesting what gets our goat, isn't it?

399

Delos' oldest son, Donald. No location and no date.

398

"Billy and Muz at Blooms". No date and no location.

397

Brent and Enid in Victor. No date.

396

Jeannie Lauritzen, Eugene's second daughter. Mar. 1943.

395

"Four tramps in Victor, October 1943." Barry, Kenneth, Florence and Lynne.

394

Stephen. 7 months old.

393

Written on the back of the photo by Adrienne, "Sam Houston's home restored. Huntsville, Texas. David, Gus & Stephen. June 1941."

392

"Mrs. Weber, Adrienne's hired help. Denny Reynolds and David. Pocatello, 1938."

391

"Rita, Adrienne, Muz, Florence, Barry, Bill, Stephen and David. In front of the Gem cafe in Wallace. August 1942."

390

"Bill, David, Stephen, Barry in Wallace, Idaho. Aug 1942. Barryhad good lungs."

389

Another larege family gathering. L to R: Delos, Brent, Grandma, Boyd, Grandpa, Enid, Rowena, Guy Hillman [husband to Elva], Elva, Carlos, Florence, Barry, Kenneth, Carrie, and an unknown child.

388

My mother, but I don't have a place or a date.

387

My grandfather, John Lauritzen, and Delos and Carrie Lauritzen. Don't have a place or date.

386

"In the summer of 1941 I worked for the Forest Service out of Pierce. I was a "Lookout" on Austin Ridge. In the latter part of July Florence came out to Musselshell station in Jack Henderson's car. I met her there with Barry and carried him five miles to the Lookout. They stayed a week. Here their vacation is over and we are ready to start back to Musselshell. Jack met them there and I returned to the station."

385

"Taken in the winter of 1942. Barry's little black "pup" later became the property of the Galer's, some Weippe neighbors, when we left. He was a fine little dog and Barry's best friend."

384

"Barry at Weippe [prounounced "wee ipe"] in the fall of 1941."

383

"Portrait, more or less, of Barry and his dad at our Weippe [Idaho] mansion. Taken in the fall of 1941."
